The Devi Garh fort palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan took years of painstaking restoration and rebuilding, before it was ready for visitors. The contemporary design showcased within this spectacular heritage property is unique in its use of local craft and semi-precious stone. Using traditional architectural concepts like courtyards and gardens, material like marble and local stone, the Fort Palace creates a new image of India for the 21st century.
